Celebrating a successful Rockhampton Agricultural Show 2022!
In June of each year, the city of Rockhampton is filled with the smell of dagwood dogs, hot chips, farm animals, and the sound of screams and laughter coming from amusement rides.
The 2022 Rockhampton Agricultural Show took place from the 8th – 10th of June and did not disappoint; with over 30,000 visitors walking through the gates over the three day event.
Mayor Tony Williams, was quoted saying “every member of the Advance Rockhampton event team, wider Council team, committees, volunteers, sponsors and local businesses all played a part in the overall success of this year’s event and we cannot thank them all enough.”
The Capricornian secured two Sponsorship opportunities this year, supporting the Show Volunteers for a second year in a row, as well as the Community Stage.
Attendees would have spotted The Capricornian’s Mascot, our calf called Moolah, printed on the Volunteer’s shirts and may have even met Moolah herself, as she made her way around the Show Grounds.
Team members from The Capricornian were also on hand in the Retail Pavilion, happily chatting to the community about all things savings, loans and insurance.
As the only locally owned financial institution in Central Queensland, The Capricornian naturally jumped at the chance to sponsor the Community Stage. This allowed us to host an array of performances and workshops for the kids and be amongst the action on the stage, for the duration of the Show.
